  • A federal judge has blocked implementation of a new Wisconsin law that requires abortionists to have admitting privileges at a hospital.
  • Judge William Conley granted a 10-day stay on the new law, allowing time for abortion supporters to challenge the hospital-admitting requirement. The judge’s decision did not block a separate provision of the law that requires an ultrasound examination prior to abortions.
