2012 DC March for Life

Catholic faithful from the Diocese of Charlotte and the Diocese of Raleigh traveled by bus to the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., Jan. 22-23, 2012, to protest the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and the legalization of abortion.

Archbishop Emeritus John Francis Donoghue, the fifth archbishop of the Archdiocese of Atlanta until retirement in 2004 and the second bishop of Charlotte from 1984 to 1993, passed into eternal glory Nov. 11, 2011. He was 83.
